All decal applications have some skill required and thus you must assume some risk in attempting to apply this decal. We are not responsible for decals that are not properly aligned or get ruined by improper installation. We recommend getting help from someone with experience if you do not feel comfortable attempting the applcation yourself.

Application suggestion #1
HINGE METHOD

Original Playfield Mansion

We apply our mansion decals by using a bright light source underneath the playfield to illuminate through the mansion inserts. We then align the decal overlay, and then apply wide masking tape to the top edge of the decal.

Decal Positioned with Masking Tape

We then hinge the decal upward by applying a crease in the tape along the top edge of the decal. This creates a hinge where you can lift the decal into position by using the masking tape.

Decal Hinged Back

Retest the position by hinginging the decal into and out of position.

Decal with Back Peeled Off

Once you are assured of position, peal off the protective layer and hinge the decal into position. Start at the top and press out air as you press it onto the playfield.

Application suggestion #2
WATER LAYER
This process involves spraying a light layer of water onto the playfield before applying the decal. This allows you to slide the decal into the final alignment position. Once aligned properly, you must leave the decal undisturbed until the water layer evaporates. It is thought that this process may weaken the final adhesion, but we know of many people who use this process on a regular basis with no reported adhesion problems. The very thin mylar helps to assure very strong adhesion. This method of application allows less experience individuals to have some room for correcting misalignment problems.
